The Boathouse Café
Pittville Park A435, Cheltenham GL52 2AP
Manager - Harriet Davey
Shhhhh! Just between us, The Boathouse is Cheltenham’s best kept secret. Hidden away on the shore of Pittville Park’s lower lake and bursting with nostalgic charm; there are rowing boats for hire, grassy banks to fish from and picnic tables, with access to freshly ground coffee, ice cream and homemade cakes.
For those who prefer dry land, there’s pitch & putt golf, three tennis courts and a skate park.Tennis courts will still be available for use, simply visit our tennis pages and book online.
The Boathouse is a hive of activity so keep an eye on the events pages to see what’s on. Recent Boathouse events include: our take on ‘International Talk like a Pirate Day’, Welly Walks, nature trails, a Halloween ‘Spooktacular’, Christmas story telling and craft and drama workshops for kids.
And between April to September, Children’s Birthday Pirate/Princess parties are available with treasure hunts, boat rides and lunch boxes. Please email Harriet for more information on firstname.lastname@example.org. These are very popular so book well in advance if you have a specific date in mind.
Parking is free around the park for 4 hours. Additional free parking can be found behind the Pittville Pump Rooms at the top of the eastern side of the park and at Abermarle Gate at the top of the western side of the park (just two minutes’ walk to the Boathouse).
